Community asthma and bushfires in Western Australia

This study investigated the impact of bushfires and control burning on the respiratory health of the community using the bushfires database from the Department of Environment and Conservation in Western Australia.

This study provided comparisons of the asthma disease burden within the context of bushfire events in Western Australia using the linked dataset of hospital admissions and deaths due to asthma, data from the WA Health Survey and also Emergency Department data, in conjunction with WA land-use maps.
