The Minister for Innovation, Industry, Science and Research,
Senator Kim Carr, has announced funding of $243 million for
research and innovation under the Australian Government’s
Cooperative Research Centres (CRC) Program.
The CRC for Fire - Environment and Society has been
unsuccessful in the Round 11 CRC Selection process.

A Bushfire CRC media release
reaffirms the commitment of the industry to a long term research
program into fire and acknowledges the three year funding
commitment of the Australian Government, which means the Bushfire
CRC has funds to continue to July 2013.
